Meredith Besser is decidedly chicken soup for the soul. One of my longtime students, firmly ensconced in the Sunday Write & Shine class, was published in Well THAT Was Funny, edited by Amy Newmark (part of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series). Meredith’s wit is as sly as ever in her rambunctious piece, “Dog Days Of Summer.” As if that’s not enough, another outstanding piece of Meredith’s–the poignant essay ”The Red Cowboy Hat”–has been chosen by the Braid Theatre for their Mother’s Day offering to be aired on their YouTube channel:
